PERFORMED THRUST STYLE (Audience on 3 Sides)

The production was the personification of joy.  A celebration of childhood; it was a privilege to work on, to watch, and to laugh to. What made this production so unique was that it's intended audience was the "former children" who grew up on the series.

Gatehouse lounge, the space which this is designed in, is a unique challenge to light in. We have 16 lights and 5 trees at our disposal. On the exterior, this seems like so little to work with- but it is incredible how much you can do with so little. Working in this space is great exercise in focusing on the possibilities rather than the limitations.
In this show, comedy was essential. It was also important to capture the realities, the sense of childlike wonder (which is an often exaggerated, hyper-saturated reality), heightened emotions, and most importantly; the terror of the cheese touch.
This show was an absolute blast. I love to work in this space, and to get to do so with such a fun show and incredible team was a gift.
